Paws Up!
To the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for proposing a rule that aims to protect all animal foods.

According to a news article, “For the first time, the Food and Drug Administration is taking steps to make animal feed and pet food sold in the United States safer.” The new rule “aims to protect all animal foods from disease-causing bacteria, chemicals and other contaminants.”

Too many animals are being sickened by the foods they eat and too many humans are having severe health problems handling contaminated animal food. Our animals deserve healthy food just as we do.

Take Action: Write a note of thanks to the FDA commissioner for the agency’s decision to protect animals as well as humans by establishing rules that will make animal food safer.
