Encourage Justice for Patrick

The barbarous treatment of the dog Patrick, named for his remarkable turn-around on St. Patrick’s Day, must not go unpunished. Patrick was left tied to a balcony railing and then eventually thrown into a garbage bag and down a trash chute 19 stories long. Urge the prosecuting attorney’s office to prosecute the accused, Kisha Curtis, to the maximum allowable by New Jersey law. If she is convicted, again urge that she be sentenced to the maximum allowable by law and that she never be allowed to own an animal again. In addition, such blatant cruelty can often manifest itself as the precursor to cruelty to humans. Therefore, as part of any sentence, Curtis should be required to undergo thorough psychological evaluation followed by mandatory counseling.

I pray the statepasses Patrick’s law.
All who abuse helpless, defenseless animals should experience the same treatment.

  4. Lisa Brennan Says:

Deplorable. I would hope that she is sentenced to the maximum.

  5. Maria Fiora Says:

I have rescued all of my pets- most have had awful lives before me- humans should be punished for animal crimes as if they are being punished for hurting children. ANimals deserve rights and have no one protecting them, being smaller than humans. If someone doesnt want their pet their places they can bring them for someone else to love, not the garbage- they need to be punished.

The prosecuting attorney’s office needs to prosecute Kisha Curtis, to the maximum allowable by New Jersey law. If she is convicted, she needs to be sentenced to the maximum allowable by law and NEVER be allowed to own an animal again. The mind-boggling cruelty it took for this woman to watch while this poor dog slowly died of starvation is inconceivable in a human being! At any time she could have turned this dog over to an animal rescue organization, but instead chose to torture it in the slowest, cruelest manner possible! In addition, such blatant cruelty can often manifest itself as the precursor to cruelty to humans. She is obviously severely lacking in the normal human traits of compassion and remorse, a condition seen in sociopaths, therefore, at the very least, as part of any sentence, Curtis should be required to undergo thorough psychological evaluation followed by mandatory counseling.

  7. Dennis Says:

I hope that Curtis is given the max charges for her role in the treatment of this poor animal. No animal should have to suffer such heartless cruelty

  8. Karen Kaschak Says:

I believe that this woman should pay a fine and do community service in an animal shelter so she can learn the proper treatment of animals.
